Micah Bucey returns to the podcast this week to discuss the detainment and deportation of Jean Montrevil and Ravi Ragbir. Both men are leaders in the New Sanctuary Coalition and members of Judson Memorial Church here in New York City. Micah briefs us on what has gone down with both of these gentlemen, and gives some solid suggestions about what we can to do get involved.
Note: the word I couldn’t think of in the intro was “affiliate.” Thanks for going on that ride with me.

Dustin Harder returns to the podcast this week to talk about his adventures filming season three of The Vegan Roadie in Italy and his brand new project, The Simply Vegan Cookbook! I love the way Dustin carved out his own path in advocating for veganism using something he is passionate about: FOOD! He’s a great friend and always a great guest.

New year, new focus! Starting with this week’s episode of the podcast, I’m narrowing the focus of my guests to artists and creators who make work about their activism, and I couldn’t think of a better guest to start with than Jason Oliver. Jason is a singer-songwriter who is also extremely active in open rescue of animals with Direct Action Everywhere. Though his activist work takes him to some of the most hellish places on earth, his music and spirit seem imbued with a lightness and hope that is irresistible. I hope you love this interview as much as I did, and please be sure to support Jason’s work by buying his album here.
