This week’s guest is my pal Andy Tabar, founder of the vegan fashion brand Compassion Co. and co-host of the fantastic podcast, The Bearded Vegans. Andy and I have been internet friends for longer than I can remember, but I became especially interested in his life when I realized that he is living out of and running his business from a van! With my tour coming up, it was a perfect time to have Andy on the podcast to talk about his life on the road.
Music:
Vines – The Flaming Tsunamis
Thalidomide – The Flaming Tsunamis
As things get rolling with my tour, I’ll be posting more and more on my YouTube channel, so go over there and subscribe too. I have been releasing some footage from my time in Durham at last week’s Moogfest, and there’s more to come!
I’ll be celebrating MikeyPod’s 12th anniversary on June 26th with a live presentation of the podcast at The Kraine Theater here in New York City. This is the second year in a row that I have been invited by The Queerly Festival to curate an evening of queer artists, I’m really honored to be invited and hope you can come. Here are all the details.
Thanks for listening and I’ll see you next week with guests, The Vegan Mos!

I met Eban Crawford back in the early EARLY days of podcasting. We’re talking, like, 2005 or so. Since then we have found so many more interests in common, producing electronic music with Ableton Live, growing beards, and veganism, among other things. I’ll be working with Eban in a few weeks at Moogfest presenting his No Permission Needed: Create workshop, so I figured it was high time to have him on the podcast. Come and see us in Durham!
I took the time on this podcast to really explain what I will be doing with The Animal Show tour this summer and share the AMAZING news that A Well Fed World will be financially supporting the tour! I am so grateful to see this thing coming to life! If you want to be a part of this action, and get the inside scoop on things as they roll out, please consider subscribing to my Patreon page. Even just a buck a month will make a huge difference!
Visit Eban’s website and follow him on Facebook, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, and Instagram.
